If you are visiting New Orleans during the most wonderful time of the year and are looking for hassle-free meal, you’ve come to the right blog post. Below are some of our favorite restaurants on Christmas Day.
1 – R’evolution
11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
R’evolution, the joint venture of award-winning chefs John Folse and Rick Tramonto, will be serving their usual, scrumptious a la carte menu plus some Reveillon dinner specials.
2 – Broussard’s
10 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
One of the four Culinary Grande Dames of New Orleans’ Historic Vieux Carre, Broussards will be serving a special Christmas menu as well as a Reveillon Prix Fix that includes crispy oyster bienville, pan-roasted gulf fish, and praline bread pudding.
3 – The Caribbean Room
5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Located on the ground floor of the newly renovated ponchartrain hotel, executive Caribbean Room chef Chris Lusk has created a unique menu to celebrate the holidays. Some of the menu choices are foie gras torchon, shrimp & okra gumbo, rabbit gnocchi, and cranberry frangipane tart.
4 – Compere Lapin
1 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This multiple award-winning restaurant, including recipient of the Best Chef in America for 2017, will be serving their regular, out of this world menu.
5 – Domenica
11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
This contemporary Italian restaurant with southern and middle eastern influences is serving a Christmas menu as well as a Reveillon pre-fix menu for $65. The pre-fix menu includes mozzarella en caroza, porcini-rubbed beef bavette, and milk chocolate panna cotta.
6 – Doris Metropolitan
5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
This upscale steakhouse will be serving their regular, delicious menu.
7 – Luke
7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Luke’s regular menu is available on Christmas Day, but the restaurant also has a pre-fix Reveillon menu for $60 that includes jumbo gulf shrimp remoulade, jumbo gulf shrimp remoulade, cast iron seared hanger steak, and eggnog pot de crème.
8 – Rib Room
11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Rib Room will be serving a special Christmas pre-fix menu starting at $55. Prices vary depending on the entrée of choice. Some of the options are deep fried trout, cedar plank smoked salmon, eggs “champagne”, slow roasted prime rib, and more.
9 – Roosevelt Hotel
10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This hotel that’s famous for its gorgeous lobby decorated with thousands of white lights will be offering a mouth-watering Christmas brunch and dinner.
10 – Shaya
11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Shaya, the 2016 winner of the best restaurant in America by the James Beard Foundation, will be serving their regular, one of a kind Israeli fusion menu.
