Ring in the New Year having fun in New Orleans! New Orleans has many New Year’s Eve events – from hotel parties, to festivals, to the Fleur de Lis Drop (our NOLA equivalent of the NYC ball drop).

One of the biggest events in New Orleans is the Allstate® Fan Fest. Imagine Dragons and Walk the Moon are headlining. It is located in the Jax Brewery parking lot in Jackson Square on Decatur Street. Admission is Free.

Dick Clark’s New Years’ Rockin’ Eve is coming to New Orleans for the first time. It will be held in Jackson Square with festivities such as live music, celebrity appearances and fireworks. Live coverage of New Orleans for the event from New York will be broadcasted. You won’t want to miss the New Orleans Fleur de Lis drop.

Hyatt Regency is hosting a New Year’s Eve Gala Party. The event features all night open bars, music, food, party rooms and dance floors. The celebration will have DJ’s, party favors, and more until midnight.

Do you have kids? Audubon Zoo has a kid friendly event for you. The Zoo Year’s Eve is a family friendly New Year’s Eve celebration. The event starts at 10:30am and ends at 12:30 pm. They will have a countdown at noon with games, prizes and fun activities for the kids. Admission is free for Audubon Zoo members.

Another great kid-friendly place for New Years Eve is the Louisiana Children’s Museum. The event is from 9:30 to 2:30 and includes arts and crafts, and a New Year’s countdown.

The Allstate Sugar Bowl New Year’s Eve parade is a festive way to enjoy the new year. The event includes floats and bands. The event is at 3:30 pm. It will start on Decatur Street and Elysian Fields and end on Canal Street.

Don’t like parades? That’s okay. New Orleans has many places to go for New Year’s Eve. The Steamboat Natchez is a fantastic place to go for New Years.The Natchez has a great view of the fireworks show on the lake. Boarding begins at 9:30 pm on Toulouse Street at the Warf and runs until midnight. This event includes live music, a buffet, and an open bar. The extravaganza party goes until 12 am.
